How do you determine the right type of care for someone?

We take the time to understand each client’s needs, preferences, and goals. When you first contact us, we’ll arrange an initial consultation to learn about the client’s lifestyle, health, and what they want to achieve with care. This is also a chance for you to get to know us. From there, a senior carer and care coordinator will complete a full assessment, and we’ll create a tailored care plan to suit the client’s specific requirements.

How is home care funded?

Funding for home care can vary depending on individual circumstances. Some people may qualify for financial support through local authorities or other funding schemes, while others may choose to fund their care privately. We’re happy to discuss your options and guide you through the process.

What makes Careline Home Support different from other care providers?

Our personalised approach, compassionate carers, and commitment to flexibility set us apart. We prioritise building strong, trusting relationships with our clients and their families, ensuring every care plan reflects the client’s needs, values, and preferences. Our years of experience and award-winning reputation give families confidence that their loved ones are in the very best hands.

How do you decide what kind of care a person needs?

We decide what care a person needs by getting to know them. When you get in touch with us we will spend time getting to know our client – what they need, what they like, what they want to get out of care. It’s also an opportunity for you to get to know us, before you make a final decision. We will then arrange a second visit with an allocated care coordinator and a senior carer who will conduct a full assessment, and then we will produce a tailored care package for you to consider.

How is care funded?

There are many different ways that care can be funded, and it will depend on various circumstances. This can all be discussed with you when you get in touch, but you can find out some more information here.

Is 24-hour home care an alternative to a care home?

Yes, 24 hour care is seen as a way to provide one-to-one care that a person needs, without them having to leave their home and move into a care home. This can help the individual feel more comfortable and at ease, rather than the upheaval of moving home.

Is it one carer that provides 24 hour home care?

It depends on the needs of the person. It may be that one live-in carer can provide all the care that they need, or it may require two live-in carers, or one that stays at the property that gets supported by a visiting carer. We will be able to determine what is the best solution during our consultation which you can book here.

Can anyone use a befriending service?

Befriending services are available to any adult over the age of 18 that is struggling with their mental health, and are not currently living in supported accommodation.

What does a befriender do?

The main goal of a befriender is to help support their client – to offer companionship, conversation and motivation. Increasing the social connections that a person has can trigger a whole host of benefits – a befriender will work towards making this happen.

Are all befriending services face-to-face?

No, some befriender services can just involve a regular phone call – it all depends on what is best for the client. Services can be tailored to suit their needs.
