Our Story
Careline Home Support
Caring for Your Loved Ones, Like Family.
At Careline Home Support, care truly runs in the family.
Founded in 1995 by James and Carol Imrie, the service began with a simple goal: to offer the kind of care they’d want for their own loved ones. Carol, a registered nurse since the 1980s, has always been passionate about helping people. James brought his experience from a successful family business in the fruit and veg trade. Together, they combined their skills to make a real difference in their community.
They began as a franchise under Community Careline Services, supporting clients across Glasgow’s South Side. But after ten years, they felt limited by the structure of a larger organisation. So, they took a bold step: becoming fully independent. This gave them the freedom to shape a service built around what truly matters — putting people first and promoting independent living.
For 30 years, Carol and James have built Careline on strong family values. Now, with their son joining the team, those values are stronger than ever. As the company continues to grow across central Scotland, one thing remains unchanged: their commitment to care that’s personal, reliable, and genuinely heartfelt.
