Overnight care

Home » Services » Overnight Care

Overnight care is when a professional carer (or night carer) stays in your home overnight to help with any care needs that you may have throughout the night. Overnight home care can be required for many reasons, whether it is medical conditions, mobility issues or for those requiring overnight companionship. It ensures the safety, comfort, and most importantly, peace of mind, for our clients and their loved ones.

Overnight care can take different forms;

  • Waking night care: When Night Carers remain awake to assist throughout the night.
  • Sleeping night care: This is when Overnight Carers are present in case assistance is needed.

Different people will require different types of night care, for things like repositioning, medication management, toilet assistance or simply providing reassurance. All of our overnight home care visit services are tailored to suit the individual needs of our clients.

FAQs

Who is overnight care for?

Overnight care is perfect for anyone that requires extra help at night – this could be as a result of an injury, dementia or old age. Each case will be slightly different, so we will be able to determine whether overnight care is right for you during a consultation which you can book here.

Will the carer stay awake for the night during overnight care?

That depends on the needs of the individual. If they need regular care, it will likely be best to have Waking Nights care, where the carer stays awake in a separate room through the night to help with any issues that require their assistance.
